The swirl diffuser is utilized in cleanrooms that do not have suspended particles in the air and need high flow rate air distribution. The swirl diffuser is often made of aluminum or stainless steel. Moreover, this product is ordered and produced without a damper. Additionally, these diffusers could be produced with a filter box or plenum box with a depth greater than the plenum boxes of normal diffusers and in different types of electrostatic powder coatings (in the aluminum type).
The swirl diffusers are designed for spaces with a height of 2.6 to 4 meters and a temperature difference between the ventilated air and the room temperature from +10 to -10 degrees Celsius and for heating, returning, or exhausting air. Due to the special shape and design of the blades, the air entering the ventilated space becomes a vortex (rotation). As a result, like flat and conic round ceiling diffusers, the ventilated air is distributed homogeneously in 360 degrees.
It should be noted that the types of air diffusers and swirl diffusers are widely used, and we will mention some of them.
Due to the early mixing of the air blown from the swirl diffuser with the ventilated ambient air (mixing during low launch), the air coming out of the diffuser quickly becomes the same temperature as the air in the room, which increases the level of comfort in the area used by people. Among the other advantages of the swirl diffuser, we can mention the launch length and suitable speed, and high airflow capacity. For this reason, these diffusers are the most suitable option for use in all types of clean rooms. The scope of application of these diffusers is not limited to clean rooms and due to their beauty, special architecture, and suitable air distribution pattern, they are also used in commercial, office, and industrial construction projects. Also, vortex or solar valves are a suitable option for use in variable volume (VAV) and constant volume (CAV) control systems due to the mentioned advantages. This product is offered in two models: a bent blade (fixed blade) and a black blade (plastic blade). Black blade swirl diffusers (plastic blades) have the ability to change the direction of blades’ ventilation during the assembly stage, which can be used to create various airflow patterns from this diffuser for various applications of rotation and air ejection in ventilated environments.
