Big projects need big managers. But definitely everyone’s vision of greatness is different from another. Here, we are not just talking about a big project, but we mean the biggest project that is being completed in Iran and possibly the Middle East. “Iran Mall” is the name of a project that is familiar to almost all people. A project the size of a city that includes all facilities; From entertainment facilities and cinemas to shopping malls and exhibition venues and many others whose description would take dozens of pages.

The spark of cooperation

First of all, it should be mentioned that the products of Shahrokhi Technical Institute are used in 70-80% of Iranian projects. In terms of trade and export, we have both hands on the fire and many of our products are exported from the Dubai office to other parts of the world.

Shahrokhi Technical Institute, with its nearly 40-year history, has a large project monitoring team. Our observation team in region 22 noticed this project at the end of 2013, which coincided with the connection of the commercial department of the “Iran Mall” project with the Shahrokhi Technical Institute and the entry of this institute into the project in early 2014. After about 6 months of continuous communication with the consultants and management of the project contract, the first meeting was held with the project owner and the respected employer.

Work and quality assurance

Since the “Iran Mall” project is an ultra-luxury, transnational and international project, they intended to procure at least 70% of the equipment and goods that were in our scope of work from foreign samples. Therefore, one of the most difficult tasks of Shahrokhi Technical Institute to enter this big project was to convince the project management of the quality of the work and to not lack similar foreign materials. Hamidreza Shahrokhi, the manager of Shahrokhi Technical Institute, in a meeting with the managers of the “Iran Mall” project, said clearly: I will produce, install and simultaneously test a product for you that is not inferior to the foreign model in terms of quality and standard. If you are satisfied, we will continue the cooperation, but if the quality of the work is not satisfactory, I will return the product at no cost. The owner and management of the project were encouraged and a trial cooperation was started.

Fire damper with UL standard

One of the main discussions in the final meetings was to ensure the production of quality fire dampers, which were to be sourced from foreign companies, that had the UL standard. The UL standard is very important for fire and fire prevention issues, and the fire damper with the UL555 standard is one of the most prominent examples. In fact, when a product has the UL standard, the whole world trusts and acknowledges the quality of the product. Although due to various reasons including sanctions, we were not able to obtain the American UL standard for our product (fire damper), the management of Shahrokhi Technical Institute confidently stated: the quality of the company’s products is up to the UL standard, and we prove this by testing and the version We offer you Iranized fire damper UL555.

With continuous follow-up, we found a laboratory in Dubai that was a colleague of UL administration, and this was considered a positive point for us. Therefore, the Shahrokhi fire damper was sent to Dubai in full quarantine with the employer’s signature, and a team of 10 experts, engineers and consultants was introduced by the project to be sent to Dubai with our colleagues to see the test results. to be In this test, 3 samples of Shahrokhi fire dampers were tested and this was an opening for Shahrokhi Technical Institute to become the sole vendor in the discussion of UL fire damper production.

Avoiding competitors with high production speed and capacity

The high production capacity of Shahrokhi Technical Institute was one of the most important factors that caused the satisfaction of cooperation with the “Iranmal” project and caused the continuity of cooperation. In fact, our production capacity is about 15 million square inches during a month, and if we want to convert this number into the number of products, we will reach a number of about 240,000 products, including valves, ventilation louvres, dampers, etc. per year. In addition to the production capacity, the high production speed and providing the requested goods on the scheduled date were key features of this cooperation. For example, if we were to deliver 700 valves to the project in a week, our competitors’ ability would be 100. This huge difference is the secret of our victory. In addition, Shahrokhi Technical Institute worked up to 90% as a single vendor.

Customize products (customization)

One of the differences between this project and other projects was in customizing the products, that is, the products were not produced in the routine production line of the factory. In fact, due to customizing the products for this project, we had to set up a separate production line for “Iran Mall” in the factory. We have been cooperating with this project for about 1,270 days now, and we have delivered about 8,000 UL fire dampers to the project. Most importantly, these fire dampers have a variety of 800 sizes. Also, about 35 km of linear slot valves along with the corresponding plenum box were produced and sent for the project. Having said that, if these products were to be sourced from a foreign company, then all the channeling in the collection would have to undergo a major relocation. Because the foreign company that has the UL standard has the ability to cover 20 to 30 sizes and

Products are not customized for a project; Rather, they expect the project to match the dimensions of their work with the dimensions of the company’s products. Customizing about 50 valve models for the project to suit the spaces and locations and designing 80 km of flexible channel are among the other significant works that we have done in the project. In addition to these, many other products of Shahrokhi Technical Institute, including UL damper, manual damper, round and back valve damper, galvanized door valve, damper frame and box, steel floor valves, ventilation louvres, four-way and linear valves, etc. This project is used.

Prevent currency withdrawal

So far, Shahrokhi Technical Institute has sold about 40 billion Tomans worth of Iranian products to the “Iran Mall” project. If these products were to be procured from foreign companies, this would mean a heavy payment for the employer and a lot of currency would be taken out of the country. Normally, the sample of a foreign product is 3 to 4 times more expensive compared to an Iranian product, but according to today’s dollar conditions, this 4 times should be multiplied by 4, so that not paying this high price difference was cost-effective for the project. And for us too.

This cooperation was very satisfactory, to the extent that Shahrokhi Technical Institute considers itself a partner of the project. Therefore, in order to be always available and able to provide services, we set up a workshop in the equipment project and 4 to 5 mechanical experts are permanently present in the project under my supervision.

one-stop order; Reduce delivery time

Now that about 33 working months have passed since we cooperated with the project, we have delivered about 216,000 items of goods to the project. The important thing is that if the orders were given all at once by the project, we would have the ability to deliver this amount of production within 4-5 months. In fact, by ordering the products in one place, the delivery time is reduced to at least one sixth.

Cooperation was not limited to our own productions

It should be noted that in the commercial sector, we also provided great help to the “Iranmal” complex. In fact, since the commercial team of Shahrokhi Technical Institute is very strong and with the trust and confidence that the respected employer had in Shahrokhi Technical Institute, we were able to supply more than 70 to 80 different products (although they were not in our field of work) for the project.
