Linear slot diffusers could be utilized in long lengths which result in the significant capacity of ventilation volume and uniformity of air distribution in the ventilated environment. These diffusers could be mounted on the ceiling or the forehead of the wall.
Linear slot diffusers have been highly welcomed by architects and engineers because of their decorative shape and appearance and the ability to be implemented in different geometrical shapes.
Moreover, another reason that increases these diffusers’ popularity is their various air throw pattern which is because of adjustable vanes (it is not possible to adjust vanes in curved models).
Linear slot diffusers are used as supply air vents however in some cases they are used as return air vents to maintain harmony in the design. A standard plenum box should be mounted to achieve uniform air distribution from the entire surface of the diffuser. On the other hand, these boxes help different parts of the diffusers to be connected properly. These diffusers are produced in a variety of electrostatic powder coating. Linear slot diffusers are generally ordered and produced between one to eight slots and can be produced with a higher number of slots if needed. The material of the blade and frame is from the company’s profile with a thickness of 1.25 mm.
Curved linear slot diffusers
Curved linear slot diffusers can be used in areas of the building that are designed circular to increase the beauty of the architecture. After initial fabrication and assembly, slot diffusers are curved by rolling machines. The maximum arc created on the diffuser depends on the strength of the diffuser, the number of slots, and the length of it. In many cases, it is not possible to make an integrated curved linear slot diffuser to meet the design conditions so the diffusers are made in several fragments, and then by putting these parts together, the final shape is considered.
Linear slot diffusers with dampers
Linear slot diffusers, like other diffusers, can be equipped with dampers to adjust the flow rate. The dampers used in slot diffusers are made of punched sheets and installed on rails inside the diffusers. As a result, by moving these sheets linearly and horizontally, the amount of air can be reduced or increased. It should be mentioned that Shahrokhi produces all kinds of industrial dampers.

Accessories:
- Plenum box, which is used to ensure the proper distribution of air along a linear slot diffuser, and is made of galvanized sheet with a thickness of 1 mm along with one of EPD, poly roll, or polyurethane insulation.
- Damper made of galvanized sheet which is sliding.
- Motorized dampers could be used for automatic control.
Finishing:
Coating: The default color of these diffusers is white electrostatic powder coating (RAL 9016), which can be applied in other colors upon request. It should be noted that these diffusers could be delivered in an acid-washed form and without any color coating to the customer.
Anodized: These diffusers can be provided with an anodized coating upon the customer’s request.
Hot Dip galvanized: Not applicable for these diffusers.
linear slot diffusers with wood veneer: it is possible to produce these diffusers with wood veneer if requested by the customer.
Installation: There is usually a gap between the opening of the false ceiling and the opening of the plenum which could be fixed by using crimp clamps.
Installation requirements: Along with this diffuser, a crimp clamp and 9 cm screws are provided, the length of the crimp clamp is determined according to the number of slots and their number according to the length of the diffuser.
