Two-way airfoil blade diffusers, which are known as diffusers, are one of the most common types of diffusers in the ventilation industry. This diffuser is the most well-known type of its kind among the general public. Additionally, the reason for its high use in the construction industry is its usability and acceptable performance in air distribution and direction. These diffusers are mainly used for the inlet and outlet air vents of water air conditioners and air washers.

One of the advantages of this wall air diffuser (air conditioner diffuser) is the ability to change the direction of aluminum airfoil blades which can adjust the airflow in all directions due to its placement in two separate horizontal and vertical rows. Moreover, during production, according to the customer’s request, vertical and horizontal blades can be placed in the front or back row. The airfoil shape of the blade, in addition to reducing the air pressure drop between the blades, increases their efficiency in directing the passing flow. If required by customers, to control the volume of air entering the diffuser, parallel and opposite dampers are used. There is also the ability to install the square-to-round conversion to install the flexible duct behind the diffusers. Furthermore, the implementation of coating in a variety of electrostatic powder furnace colors is possible.

Consumables, materials, and thicknesses:

The material of the blade and frame profile in this diffuser is generally an aluminum profile with a thickness of 1 mm for the blades and 1.25 mm for the frame.

It is possible to produce these diffusers from black iron sheets or galvanized steel with different thicknesses or stainless steel, upon request.

The width of the diffuser frame can be 3.3 cm or 4.5 cm of aluminum profile or any other size of black iron or galvanized sheet.

Finishing:

Color: The default color of these diffusers is white electrostatic powder coating (RAL 9016). In case of request, it is possible to apply other coats by declaring the corresponding color resin. It should be noted that it is possible to provide the diffuser in an acid-washed form and without any color coating to the customer.

Anodized: These diffusers can be provided with an anodized coating upon the customer’s request.

Hot dip galvanized: It is not used for these diffusers.

Wood veneer: If requested by the customer, it is possible to provide wood veneer for these diffusers by sending a sample of the desired cover. Installation method: These diffusers are installed with self-tapping screws on a wooden frame installed on the edge of the duct according to the shape. Since the purpose of installing these diffusers is to blow air and they are usually installed on the edge of the duct and a wooden frame, they can be used on all types of ceilings such as plaster, cement, brick, wood, etc.

Installation requirements: Along with this diffuser, 4 screws related to the installation are provided along with the screw nut to maintain the appearance of the diffuser. (Screws and bolts are exclusively for Shahrokhi Technical Institute’s production diffusers.) It should be noted that the price of the access doors and two-way airfoil blade diffusers depend on the quality of the product.

Attributes:

A horizontal blade provides the possibility of directing the air in a vertical direction.

A vertical blade that allows the air to be directed in a horizontal direction.

The relatively long throw of the diffuser in the case of proper selection and sizing, can provide up to 12 meters of horizontal throw for these diffusers.

Easy to install

These diffusers can be provided to the customer along with a potentiometer, thermostat, and remote control.

Limitations:

Adjusting the direction of the exhaust air is manual and the vanes must be adjusted individually by the user or operator.

They are not suitable for high airflow speeds due to vibrations in the blades.

They are not beautiful in long lengths and small widths.
